Public Advocacy and Program Management Skill Development Training Completed

Under the Right to Food Project with the support of the National Farmers Group Federation Nepal and CARE Nepal, public advocacy and program management skill development training has been conducted in Naharrigaul and Malhaniya Gamahaniya VDCs of Siraha district, Hardeni and Rampur VDCs of Udaipur district and Taluwa and Katunje VDCs of Okhaldhuga district.


Information on group management and leadership development, the concept of people's advocacy, analysis of problems of agriculture and farmers at the local level, question identification, and prioritization, development of advocacy skills for farmers 'rights, and general preamble for increasing farmers' access to local resources and report writing skills. The training was conducted with the aim of helping to lobby. The training was attended by the officials, members of the National Federation of Farmers Group Nepal, and the farmers of the agricultural groups affiliated with the Village Federation.


The training was facilitated by National Farmers Group Federation General Secretary Nabraj Basnet, Vice President Bhakta Bahadur Basnet, Secretary Ram Hari Sharma, Program Coordinator Laxmi Acharya, Senior Program Officer Kedar Koirala, and Public Advocacy and Communication Officer Diwani Ram Loharand District coordinator Rahmat Hussain was also a special presence.
