International learning sharing group of farmers from Zimbabwe and VSO representative Visit
For international learning exchange, a group of farmers from Zimbabwe, including VSO representatives, have completed a 6-day visit. At Surkhet, where they reviewed the NFGF's efforts to localize food rights, food security and food sovereignty, discussed ecological agriculture at the NFGF central office in Kathmandu, and observed a flower farm run by NFGF Vice Chair Anita Basnet. They have also resolved to jointly move forward on common issues of farmers at the international level.
In collaboration with the National Farmers Group Federation, Nepal and VSO Nepal, the promotion of Agroecology and food system localization practices are being implemented in Surkhet, Bara and Rautahat districts through the ACTIVE Project activities.
